Double Olympic Gold medallist, 4-time world record holder and sporting legend Daley Thompson chose GymkitUK as their supplier for lockers and changing room furniture for their first high end health club and elite training facility in London. GymkitUK also worked closely with Thompson on the design of the elite training zone in the gym supplying a bespoke Queenax training rig as the centre piece of the gym.

Lockers

Thompson and Sunshine had a clear vision for the club and wanted a masculine feel to the male changing rooms opting for darker Guerillia textured finish to the lockers, vanity’s and benches.

Vanity Units

In the female changing rooms the client wanted a lighter, fresher ambiance and chose Kaki – a lighter finish, but from the same range. Free standing upholstered benches and low seated female vanity’s were designed for the comfort of the female members, and cool white LEDS.

Queenax

The bespoke Queenax unit was designed after much consultation, with a number of unique features including an elevation set, where members can freestyle rope climb over 4m into a roof void. The unit was designed to cover the full wall to wall space in the advanced training zone with endless training Apps and options for small group and 1on1 sessions with the Olympic Champ.

About the Club

Located in Putney High Street the new 1500m2 club is the first in what is planned to be a chain of prestigious health clubs in the City. Daley Thompson and his business partner and fellow athlete Gavin Sunshine wanted a club that would stand out from the crowd both in terms of quality and style. Members can book 1on1 workouts with the Olympic Champ and receive coaching from one of the world’s greatest ever Decathletes.
